The application of glitches and file corruption has been widespread in the global creative community. The popularity of the visual language associated with the practice of glitching has put forward the question of looking at digital error not only as a temporary malfunction or fault of equipment but potentially as a design tool. With the proliferation of technology, our machines are becoming more and more prone to deliberate file corruption. Consequently, the practice of glitching will soon become a disappearing phenomenon. This project explores the process of file corruption and code manipulation to conceive a lexicon of glitches that highlight the most common artifacts, textures, patterns, and visual effects associated
with the practice.
